There are many organizations in and around Hilo and the Big Island that share our passion for and support of the written word, as well as many great authors right here in the islands! - Hawaii Book Blog
Hawaii Book Blog exists to showcase the diverse literature of Hawaii and provide people with a comprehensive platform to learn and discuss books about Hawaii and the Pacific, books by local authors, or books published by local companies.

- World Book Night
World Book Night is an annual celebration designed to spread a love of reading and books. Each year it sends tens of thousands of people out into their communities to spread the joy and love of reading by giving out free World Book Night paperbacks. Through social media and traditional publicity, World Book Night also promotes the value of reading, of printed books, and of bookstores and libraries to everyone year–round.
